Project | 01 Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a website that creates an interactive site of many different websites and tools you can use in your classroom. Symbaloo lets to collect all the sites for your website and making them easy to access in one place. Symbaloo is efficient because it eliminates the time it takes for students to search for the sites, instead they are able to find them all in one place. In my Symbaloo there are many different websites and tools for 3rd grade students and their parents. Some of the resources are useful for teachers in the classroom, others are for students, and others are for parents.
Project | 02 Concept Map

This is a concept map on different math topics we will cover through out the year! I used the program kidspiration to create this map. It highlights the topics of fractions, multiplication, division, two dimensional shapes, area, and rectangular arrays. Each topic is then broken down another level and describes ways to learn and study the topic. This concept map was created with Kidspiration which helps students visualize steps they can take to learn the material, visual learners love concept maps! I added images into the map to make it more eye appealing and keep the younger students attention.
Project | Instructional Video

The purpose of this video is to teach my 3rd grade students basic multiplication and strategies they can use when completing problems. I used Powtoon and iMovie for this project. I used Powtoon for the images and ways to display the information. I then took this images and put them into iMovie. In iMovie I added a voice over which explained what was being done in the image. I also added music and transition to make the video more fun and hold my students attention.

Project | Infographic

This is an infographic that I created with PicktoChart about digital citizenship and online safety. PicktoChart is a great tool that allows you to easily create infographics that are eye appealing and easy to read. The target audience for this infographic is parents of students in elementary school. This infographic provides tips and tricks that parents can take to protect their children from the internet.
Project | Screencast

I used quicktime screen recorder to create this video discussing the 4Es with in this instructional video. I found an instructional video online that related to the standard I am discussing in class. I discussed the 4Es that the video included and why I liked and didn't like the video. Using a screen cast or screen recorder is a great tool to use in the class room. It is a great way to flip the classroom, where students learn new material at home by watching a video and then they complete their homework in the classroom with the help of the teacher. Flipping the classroom can be taught to students through recording your screen or powerpoint while recording your voice.
