Hadley George
3rd Grade Teacher
About me:
My name is Hadley George. I was born in Boulder Colorado, but raised primarily in Cincinnati Ohio! I love my parents and am so grateful for all they have done for me and our family. I have two younger sisters, Kyra and Piper who mean the world to me. During my high school career, I was a cheerleader and loved going to all the sporting events cheering on the warriors! I also enjoyed participating in many clubs throughout my time such as Unified for Uganda. After high school I went to Indiana University getting a degree in Elementary Education. I am so excited to be back in Cincinnati teaching at the amazing elementary school I went to.
Pedagogical beliefs:
As a teacher, I believe that students must feel valued and wanted with in a classroom. It is important that students feel a sense of trust and support within the classroom because this will encourage them to take risks and enhance their learning. Creating a community within the classroom is very important where the students respect each other and look forward to coming to class and learning lots. I believe that technology will greatly help engage students and increase their desire to want to learn new and challenging things. I will use technology in the classroom through one to one and educational games to engage the students and enhance the learning.
Technology in the classroom:

I plan to integrate technology into my classroom. Technology is efficient, effective, enhancing, and engaging for the classroom. This four descriptions are very important to have in the classroom. I plan to create a fun activity use technology each day to build a community with in my classroom. I also plan to try a flipped classroom by using screen cast which will allow me to help my students more individually during class time. I also plan to use a teacher website to connect parents into the class and provide one space where students can find all information and resources for the class!
